CELINE DION – $38.5 MILLION, FLORIDA

International singing sensation Celine Dion rose to global fame following the release of her album *Unison* in 1990. She reportedly sold her Bahamian-inspired Florida estate for $38.5 million, a home that likely holds even more sentimental value given the memorabilia the award-winning singer left behind.

Although the final sale price was significantly lower than her original $72.5 million asking price, it was still a substantial profit over the $7.032 million Dion and her husband paid for the property in 2008. The investment estate boasts its own private beach and three geothermal-heated swimming pools, luxurious features that would cost a fortune to build and maintain today. With such grandeur, it’s no surprise that property taxes alone reportedly exceeded $350,000 annually.
